Breed notes
Silver, golden, blue, cream: Scottish Folds come in many colors. Here is a simple picture guide to four of the most popular, with the eye colors that usually go with them.
The same pose and the same folded ears, four different coats.

A white-silver coat with darker tipping or soft stripes. Silver chinchillas and silver shaded cats often have green eyes.

A warm apricot-golden coat with darker tipping and a light chin and chest. Golden chinchillas usually have green eyes.

An even blue-gray coat with no pattern, the classic look shared with the British Shorthair. Usually copper or orange eyes.

A soft, pale cream-beige coat, often with very faint markings, a pink nose and copper or gold eyes.
These pictures are illustrations of each color, not our cats.
Eyes change. Every kitten is born with blue eyes. The adult eye color appears over the first months, so a young kitten's eyes are not a reliable guide.
Tipped coats clear up. Silver and golden kittens can look a little striped or muddy at first; the tipped, shimmering look usually becomes clearer as they grow.
Photos vary. Daylight, indoor lighting and editing can shift how a coat looks. Ask for a short video in daylight to see the true color.
Our August 2026 litter shows how varied one litter can be: Sam has a long-haired silver coat, Margo a warm golden-brown coat, and Yulia a fluffy white coat.

Almost any color and pattern: silver and golden (often chinchilla or shaded), solid blue, cream, white, black, red, tabby, bicolor and more. Popular colors include silver, golden and blue.
Eye color usually goes with coat color: silver and golden chinchillas often have green eyes, while solid blue, cream and many other colors have copper or gold eyes. White cats can have blue, copper or odd eyes.
Often a little. All kittens are born with blue eyes that change over the first months, and silver and golden coats usually look clearer as the kitten grows. A kitten's final color is easier to judge after a few months.
